Rich green, clumping sub-shrub to 1.5’H and wide. Semi-deciduous. Sun. Tolerates clay and sand. Low water, but inland, it needs to have some summer 1x/month. Bright red flowers attract hummingbirds from summer through fall. Great for borders and dry banks. Cut back in winter to encourage thick growth the following year.
