A shrubby, 1-7’ perennial; pungent-smelling, golden-yellow flowers in late summer and early fall. Long, narrow silver-grey leaves are long and narrow to spatula-shape. When not in flower the plant is not especially attractive. It is valued for the flowers and the pollinators, especially butterflies.
