A dense evergreen shrub growing to 6-15’H, with dark red branches. Dark green leaves with reddish tint, 1-3″ long that curl under at the edges. Greenish-white inconspicuous flowers draw a wide variety of pollinators and produce fruits that turn red, then purple and finally black over the summer and are valued by birds. Easy to grow, tolerating a wide variety of soil types. Makes a great fire-resistant hedge.
