Fremontodendron californicum

California Flannelbush is one of the most spectacular of the native California shrubs. It is a fast growing evergreen shrub with fuzzy, flannel-like leaves and abundant, large yellow blossoms that bloom in the spring. Under ideal conditions, it can reach 20 feet tall and 20 feet wide in five years. Full sun, and dry conditions. Never irrigate once established.
