Philadelphus lewisii

Western mock orange


Round shrub grows to 6-12’H. Sends out long reddish stems that fade to gray with age, the bark shredding in small flakes. Oval, light-green, rough-textured leaves; clusters of flowers are produced at the ends of long stems, with four white petals and numerous yellow stamens; flowers have a heavy, sweet scent similar to orange blossoms with a hint of pineapple.
