A deciduous shrub usually 4′-6′ H, up to 12’H x 6′ W by 12′ with attractive branching. Gray bark and graceful form make it attractive even without its leaves. Many fragrant, showy, 1″ pendulous white flowers (similar to Philadelphus (mock orange)) in April and May, followed by little citrus fruit. Plant it in full sun or light shade and give it occasional water until established.
